2011 was a pretty good year for us.
In January we embarked on a short tour of the North East of America. We got to play in New York, Boston, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Baltimore and New Jersey. Taking in gigs with Bomb The Music Industry!, Vic Ruggiero, Kudrow, Steady Habits and The Max Levine Ensemble. All great, accommodating, people.
The North East in January is unfuckingyieldingly cold though. We thought, since Ireland is always cold, that we’d be prepared for it. But I very nearly gave up on life in Boston.
Then on St. Patricks Day we went to The Hive Studios and recorded T-Shirts With Big Writing Aren’t Cool for our split 7inch with Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun. (Most attractive band we’ve played with to date.) (Sorry Vic)
This lead to a short UK/Ireland tour in support of the 7inch. We were able to play the main stage at 2000 Trees in Cheltenham.
Here is the video that was made for T-Shirts:
We then were able to support Less Than Jake in Dublin, childhood Stu was pretty impressed.
To finish it off we supported Leftover Crack on a 2 week UK tour. Also getting to play with the legendary Oi Polloi.

I have a load of polaroid photos from these tours I should really scan in. We really appreciated getting to do all these things. A lot of people helped us out by letting us sleep on their floor/feeding us/bringing equipment. Hopefully we’ll be able to do even more stuff in 2012. Plans are in motion. We’ve started demoing new material. On the 7th of February we will be showcasing that in Whelan’s.
